Monday,16th Oct 17:00~ Energy of the future? Discussion on the feasibility of a Hydrogen Society- Talk session of global energy analysts, Michael Liebreich and Noriaki Oba

Hydrogen has been attracting attention in recent years amid the growing concern of energy crisis and climate change, also from the perspective of a new growth industry. In countries around the world, hydrogen strategies are being adopted, and the development of hydrogen supply chains is advancing.

In Japan, the Basic Hydrogen Strategy, initially formulated in 2017, was revised in June this year. Hydrogen is expected to serve as a key tool for decarbonization while also enhancing the international competitiveness of the Japanese industrial sector. However, there are a number of challenges that need to be looked into such as reducing production costs, establishing efficient supply chains, and the issue of CO2 emissions during the manufacturing process.

In this seminar, we welcome Mr. Michael Liebreich, a renowned global energy analyst, (Founder of Bloomberg New Energy Finance and chairman/CEO of Liebreich Associates) as the speaker, and Mr. Noriaki Oba, an energy expert (President of Post-oil Strategy Institute) as the moderator. It will provide insights into the trends of the global hydrogen market and discuss effective utilization of hydrogen.

The discussion will be followed by a networking reception to facilitate interactions among the participants from various backgrounds.

This seminar is for you if you want to...
