[Sustainability Officer Study Group] Chief Sustainable Officer Network Trial Study
■Background and Objective:
In the business world, as a deep understanding and execution capability of sustainability become increasingly important, the role of Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) is crucial. The purpose of this study group is to support the learning of CSOs and CSO candidates, and to promote transformative changes in companies towards stakeholder-centered management through constructive dialogues with top executives facilitated by them.
KSI has been providing useful content and building a reliable network for practitioners involved in sustainability. Within this context, we are considering the establishment of a study group that delivers specialized knowledge to assist executive-level professionals in driving sustainability and pushing for corporate transformation.
As a trial for the launch of the study group, we are going to organize a pre-event and a series of three courses. This announcement serves as an invitation to the trial study sessions.

■Trial Study Session Details: Workshop for Value Creation (3 Sessions in Total)
In this workshop, participants will learn about the underlying philosophy of value measurement as well as the goal-setting and management metrics required for companies to achieve value creation, taking into consideration their key stakeholders. Utilizing the Value Model, which is based on more than 800 KPIs from over 35 world-class sustainability and ESG reporting frameworks, attendees will leverage the methods developed by Prof. Philip Sugai, Director of Doshisha University's Value Research Center. After understanding the basics of the Value Model, participants will apply it to their own company cases, or to public disclosures of other companies and discuss challenges and future possibilities for its application to the development of their own sustainability strategies going forward.
